As you can clearly see in this picture horses roam freely through the streets of Samara, Costa Rica. In the background, just to the right of the horses, is Shake Joe’s. We conducted quite a bit of business at Shake Joe’s.

Just outside the wall of the “compound” condo retreat, across the street at the Howler Monkeys. You’d never guess by listening to him that this guy is only about the size of a cocker spaniel, he sounds like a roaring gorilla. In reality, as you can tell from the picture to the right, they’re quite small and a bit vulnerable. Threats to howler monkeys include being hunted for food and captivity. From what I saw they live in groups up 18 or so individuals. Judging from their ease of limb walking these guys are native to South and Central American forests. Monkey is a monkey does - they have prehensile tails. Go figure.
Leaf snatching starts early around 7:00 each morning. This morning trek has them beginning from closer to the ocean then heading off towards Mel Gibson’s chunk of rain forest. Like 40 million dollars worth of chunk. Judging from the crazy prices I saw at Samara Beach, Mel’s slab can’t be too terrible.

Our travel through Costa Rica has us in Samara Beach, Costa Rica. Directly across the street from our condo on the mountain side is a family of Howler Monkeys.
The howler monkeys (genus Alouatta monotypic in subfamily Alouattinae) are among the largest of the New World monkeys. Nine species are currently recognised. Previously classified in the family Cebidae, they are now placed in the family Atelidae.

Knowing what your risk tolerance and investment style are will help you choose investments more wisely. While there are many different types of investments that one can make, there are really only three specific investment styles – and those three styles tie in with your risk tolerance. The three investment styles are conservative, moderate, and aggressive.
Naturally, if you find that you have a low tolerance for risk, your investment style will most likely be conservative or moderate at best. Thinking outside of the box, you might find, really helps you at the end of the day. That my style, go with those that have the experience. In this case a little research turns up Sunrise Peak - the largest and most experienced luxury houseboat company on Lake Powell. Something to think about.
Time to start traveling again with 2009 just around the corner. This summer we plan to visit Costa Rica for a two week get away. Last time my vacation plans headed south was my visit to Chichén Itzá. Life introduces these wonderful moments to help you appreciate the power of Coca-Cola. It was so hot the sweat tried to get back in my skins after coming out.
The polar opposite was my trip to Alaska to visit friends working as air traffic controllers by day and dangerous crazy drivers during the rest of the day. If memory serves me right this was during the winter solstice. I was dizzy before landing in the airport and remained dizzy the entire trip. The air traffic controllers were dizzy most of the time too due to their 24 hour a day drinking. Not my best trip to date.
My best trips were the times I traveled with my wife to New York City. These usually lasted less than a week, but stuck in my mind because of how easy it is to travel with her. Our trips next summer will be either Italy or Germany. I have yet to visit France so I hoping this can be added to the list the following year.

We took Ollie to the Imagination Station this Saturday. Besides the brzzbrzz devices, blood sucking snakes and the eganannosaurus rex the most fun he had was racing the cheetah.
