Well, I’ve signed up posties.us with PayPerPost to test them as an advertising platform and after a couple of posties took our money we were censored once again. So… let’s get this straight.

  1. They censor their “community forum”
  2. They censor the forum for posties by posties by not allowing they to advertise on the network.

They do not want critics in any form. Hrm, so how do they hope to improve? A single survey will be used to help move this organization forward? Overwhelmingly they miss all chances to embrace the posties of the world. How is a company that “generates buzz” going to appear to new posties or advertisers if they try to silence buzz about them? Curiously pathetic. I expected more.

My guess? They’ll delete the old forums in favor of a brand new one! Look at the pretty colors. Izea, you can’t succeed as a company if you fear feedback. Ignoring calls for help, valid complaints of zero opportunities by all the posties who you helped lose their blog’s page rank and then either locking threads or flat out altering the text of posts sure shows your ability to generate buzz. At every point along the way you slap posties around telling them things will be better soon enough.

Then when the posties leave your forum to create a forum for posties by posties you freak on us. The forum for posties by posties isn’t even used to slam PayPerPost or Izea. That forum simply allows people to talk freely without fear of having the conversation censored. Guess what happened as a result? You joined and thanked us for good suggestions only then telling us that we, the posties, are not welcomed on your advertising network. What sort of Interetarded thinking is that?

Posties gave posties something they wanted desperately from the PayPerPost network - opportunity. Shame on you for taking money out of their pockets. Izea took the Google Page Rank of blogs and then turns around to take money out of their pockets again by not allowing posties.us to advertise. Does anyone else feel like you’re taking part of a filmed episode of Fucked Company?

Time and again I get asked how it’s possible for me to continuously add new domains and where dear child do I get the inspiration for these creations. I use Go Daddy Bulk Domain Registration as for the thought bulb… well, that’s a totally different story.

Let’s take http://www.rankspank.us for example. After watching Izea joking at RankSpank.com of Google yanking page ranks from posties something snapped. Don’t get me wrong I love PayPerPost, but bloggers earn their Google Page Rank and seeing it evaporate into thin air is far from funny. Joking about it is a tad insulting.

Screenshot of http://www.rankspank.us

Now THAT is funny. Took about 15 minutes from start to finish after the domain was active. The folks that find this funny are the ones that earned Google PR through hard work. As for spam blogs, pft, who cares - right? Throw up another blog and in 30 days you can cash in on your business card wisdom or travel expertise.

Many of the folks signing on with the posties.us forum say their afraid to use their real names. They worry about retaliation from the Izea mods on the other boards. I can tell you that the day the site went live traffic to the Izea boards sank as the posties.us traffic jumped. Following the board with twitter.

Censorship
Cass locks another thread discussing posties.usTheir mods have now begun removing links from within postings to scrub the mention of posties.us. They directly insult me saying the board is mine. A tool meant to bash PayPerPost or Izea. Yet at any given time I see more folks on the posties board talking openly than on the “official” PayPerPost system. There is no Izea bashing. There are no thread locks by mods to silence people. What you will find is a board for posties by posties. A break in the closed community discussions controlled by the whims of rouge mods.

Scanning through www.posties.us this morning I came across the news that P3 appears to have $1000 Tuesday up again. If true this is great news for all posties. They’re saying fairly decent opps are hitting the market through the day. How refreshing to see this excitement once again. Great news for everyone involved!

I’ve submitted we add a bugs section to discuss problems found in the PayPerPost system. My hopes are that it will be used in a legitimate manner and not an all out zeroday buffet. We’re seeking improvements to fix our system not all out rhetoric destruction of p3. All parties are invited to participate from posties, PayPerPost staff and board mods, advertisers along with potential posties and ex posties.

Oops. I “held” a posting opportunity on PayPerPost. That’s a big no-no, boys and girls. It will get your access to the site suspended for two weeks. Ruth in high schoolIt was my fault and I’ll take my punishment. I grabbed the Hamilton Beach Eclectrics (trademark) video opportunity and, despite my knowledge of the inherent punishable offense, went downstairs to film it. Yup, I put a placer on the blog to hold it.

In our home, going downstairs is never a simple journey. The destination is fraught with as many obstacles as the stairway full of small dogs and dim lighting. I grabbed the camera from Val’s studio, walked into the kitchen and began to remove the articles I needed for the short video. Val had her back to me as she cooked dinner and Ruth sat in semi-darkness in a chair in the breakfast room. I looked more closely at Ruth and realized something was wrong. “Ruth! Ruth! Are you ok?!” “No,” she said quietly, “I really don’t feel at all well.” Let me interrupt here and say that she’s fine, I don’t believe in health-news suspense when I write about a 90-year-old woman. (that’s Ruth on the left, she was on a high school trip to Washington DC, 1930s)

She was dizzy, disoriented. Val grabbed a container of yogurt from the fridge. I looked at her and she said, “Grab a spoon, open this… it’s her blood sugar.” Then she asked Ruth if she’d had anything to eat since the pear at lunch. “No…” I ran upstairs and grabbed my Halloween bagaway.jpg of Reese’s Pieces and Peanut Butter Cups. Now, you have to realize the level of panic here if I was ready to give up my Halloween candy (just kidding.)

It took a few minutes and Ruth came around enough for me to help/half carry her to her bedroom. Val changed her dinner menu to broiled fish, spinach salad, and mixed veggies. After we’d all had dinner, Val helped Ruth get ready for bed. I went back upstairs to my computer and completely forgot the video. I should never have held it in the first place but when I read about the “competition” — I really wanted to win one for Val.

Ruth’s in bed today. We think she may have the virus the grandboys had a few weeks ago. I heard Val say to her “You can be sick today, all day. Stay in bed. I’ll be the nurse, you be the patient. I mean it. Don’t get up.” Ruth murmured something and went back to sleep.

Sorry PayPerPost. I shouldn’t have held the opportunity in the first place. I know better than to do that. For one thing, it’s wrong according to the TOS.

For another — my family comes first and often in unexpected ways.

**SLAP**!!!

‘Holding’ is in direct violation of our Terms of Service and given the 6 hours a blogger now has to submit a post, it is unacceptable.
Specifically: Attempting to ‘hold’ a post by submitting to the ‘Take this Opportunity’ screen, but failing to provide a written post to the requirements of the Advertiser will result in immediate suspension of your account.

…We highly value and actively preserve that strength, and trust we will not find you holding a post in the future.
