So I’m 41. Officially classified as an adult. Along with my wife I own a house, two cars and room with two Jack Russels, a Shar Pei and a cat. Adult == stresses. How you choose to handle stress determines the quality of your life. The things I can control need to help lessen or not cause more stress. That’s why the Macbook Air with OS X replaced my 11 year use of Linux. I still believe Ubuntu Linux stomps Windows as the better desktop operating system as you can see in this video of Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex with visual effects.

Now days I want things to run smoothly. Not just computers – almost everything I can influence to make life for me and wife. That’s why I switched to an Apple Macbook Air. Hell, I like it so much I got one for my wife too. I dumped my Ford Explorer in favor of the more adult Volvo X70.

Several months into Macbook Air ownership I decided to join Apple Developer Connection. Safari 4 was released to members of Developer Connection a few months before the public beta. This allowed me time to test and compare Safari 4 to Firefox 3. Now at first I was a Firefox user testing Apple’s Safari browser. Several weeks later I was a Safari 4 user still tied to Firefox because of all the years I used it under Linux. This all changed in February of 2009 when the Safari 4 Public Beta was released.

So what is Safari 4 Public Beta?

Whether on my laptop or my iPod Touch Safari has become an integral platform in my computer use. Notice my use of the term platform instead of browser. Safari is redefining what surfing the Internet is all about. It’s familiar feeling with a refined comfort not found on the Windows platform.

It might be quite possible for Microsoft to focus on their browser or reignite their browser war games if they didn’t have such heavy burden plaguing their every thought. You guessed it – I’m referring to VistaYou need to practice focus and divert your mind from the problems that results to stress.

One way to do this is to instruct your mind that you need to focus on the game and on your teammates. You might get on the wrong side of your partners your team keeps losing that match because your head isn’t on the game. You need to realize that the game is useless if you don’t put your mind into doing it.
