macewan.org review of Google App Engine

by macewan on April 12, 2008

ReadWriteWeb pointed me to Google’s latest project the Google App Engine. So what is the Google App Engine? Basically it handles the backend *think L.A.M.P.* of your webapp project. You heard it here first - is Google planning to purchase WordPress?

Traceback (most recent call last):
File “google_appengine/dev_appserver.py”, line 50, in <module>
execfile(script_path, globals())
File “/home/macewan/Desktop/Google App Engine/google_appengine/google/appengine/tools/dev_appserver_main.py”, line 338, in <module>
sys.exit(main(sys.argv))
File “/home/macewan/Desktop/Google App Engine/google_appengine/google/appengine/tools/dev_appserver_main.py”, line 287, in main
config, matcher = dev_appserver.LoadAppConfig(root_path, {})
File “/home/macewan/Desktop/Google App Engine/google_appengine/google/appengine/tools/dev_appserver.py”, line 2415, in LoadAppConfig
raise AppConfigNotFoundError
google.appengine.tools.dev_appserver.AppConfigNotFoundError
