Updates for March

by macewan on March 10, 2008

Hey there I'm Robert MacEwan the author of Ideal Absolutes. If you're new to macewan.org, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.

March has turned out to be quite the amusing month so far. Apparently I won domain bids which brings my total to 100. One project has taken a tad more time that I really wanted to spend with it, but over all things are panning out just fine. If forced at mouse point to guess how many are up and running I’d put the percentage at 25-30%.

In the real world I’ve begun the remodeling of my home office in the form of removing 60 year old wallpaper. Removing as in scraping one half inch strip at a time. The house itself is about 100 years old and full of character.

Imagination Station

by macewan on March 10, 2008

We took Ollie to the Imagination Station this Saturday. Besides the brzzbrzz devices, blood sucking snakes and the eganannosaurus rex the most fun he had was racing the cheetah.

Qassia’s potential $500 in 12 hours

by macewan on March 9, 2008

Reading through Gary’s and then Dulce’s information gave me the urge to test whether Qassia’s $500 in 12 hour potential has any merit. As mentioned in other blogs the Qassia site looks like other wiki’ish sites where you write content and receive a cut of the advertising profits. It’s true Qassia is in Beta but you are able to join Qassia through macewan.

Join Qassia

Remember that this is still closed Beta and the ONLY possibility of joining is through a member.

Microsoft’s cash offer for Yahoo!

by macewan on March 6, 2008

Microsoft is reported to be considering an all cash offer for Yahoo!! So if I understand this right Yahoo! haad been testing strategies to boost their stock price. Either to bump the price Microborg would pay or keep them at bay. With the 100% cash strategy Microsoft locks the price at 31′ish a share. Too bad Yahoo! does make a browser then everyone would be happy.

Overwhelmed

by macewan on March 4, 2008

Today I find myself 5 domains short of 100. Yup, that’s right 90freaking5 domains. The last 5 were won at auction - my first endeavor in the fine art of finger crossing and wishful thinking. Luckily the price was right or the sun spots love me. All this excitement has let to a self imposed acquisition moratorium through March which hopefully will allow time to complete a few of the projects I’m working on each day. Honestly, I really am too skinny to be stretched this thinly.

I was telling breezie of forumfinder.net this afternoon about PredictAd code being added to the posties.us project she heads up. Looks like membership is waaay up this week closing in at 60 posties total. By the way, if you need a project manager Breezie should top your list. This is a purpose driven forum for posties by posties. With less than $30 in 3 weeks this community is showing 21,806 page views. Not too shabby. My mystery buddy bombmaster2 joined shortly after the sites inception followed by JaneyBell of Toddler Reality Show and JaneyBell.net. Her next project is the kickass CarolinaHockey.tv site!

What is White Label Social Networking?

by macewan on March 3, 2008

For those wondering White Label Social Networking would be a turnkey Facebook like software solution. Want to create a social network? Just buy the software and install on your server and there you go.
