Hosting problems

Earlier this morning around 8:21 aloud boom rang through the downtown area. This was quickly followed by an additional two booms. Each time the lights flickered off and on as anything powered with electricity lost power. All except my desktop thanks to the battery backup unit.

So I feel the pain of Kaushal Sheth, a WordPress theme designer. Apparently, the company hosting his web properties lost all power, which as anyone in the business knows is catastrophic. In searching for a replacement he’s posted a nice write up discussing a few of the
best web hosting companies found in his search. He looks to be leaning towards Host Monster in the post. I’ve never used them myself and can’t vouch for his conclusions.

The solution to hosting problems is to use tried and true companies. Ones with the resources, a solid track record and time in service. Steer clear of the fly by night sites. Hopefully you never have to live through the same situation that affected Kaushal’s productivity.
