We’ve been Hoodwinked!

by macewan on February 1, 2008

Hey there I'm Robert MacEwan the author of Ideal Absolutes. If you're new to macewan.org, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.

Hoodwinked the movieOllie is spending the night to help us through watching the Cory Edwards animation Hoodwinked. Neil “I hate kids” Smith’s 2006 review for BBC gave a scathing review calling it a “CHEAP ANIMATION AND FAR-FROM STELLAR CAST”. Nonsense I say and other agree that Neil is just jealous of not being cartoonized by the studios.

Red is no cheap animation. She’s splashy, exciting and full of energy with a heavy helping of attitude thrown in the mix. Cheap? Pft, the film came in at $20,000,000 to make. They brought in the $51,386,611 in the United States and $109,211,568 in worldwide sales.

Were we hoodwinked in to watching by Ollie the great? Not at all from my perspective. It kept the attention of an active and incredibly bright 3 year old. You can read more of the adventures of Ollie at either greenville-nc.com or janeybell.net.

Nouveau Riche University reviewed

by macewan on February 1, 2008

Those familiar with this site know how much I talk about diversifying income sources. With this comes successes and failures. The Nouveau Riche University site discusses the successes of Real Estate Investing NRU students as well as alumni students. Nouveau Riche UniversityNRU provides thirty plus classes dedicated to teaching the ins and outs of real estate investing. Alone these lines there’s flipping, foreclosures, short sales and whole sales.

Is this all a Nouveau Riche Scam? Before you cast stones it’s best to do your research to form your own opinion. Your journey should start at the source and then spread from within. If you need more training in real estate investing this may be just what you need.

Ubuntu YouTube Ebay Amazon Mashup

by macewan on February 1, 2008

Diversify. I can’t stress this enough. Your blogs Google Page Rank will fade in importance when revenue comes from multiple sources other than your blog. Besides, posting for cash is time intensive. An example of the less time consuming alternative would be the BANS sites I’m running (visit buybans.com to see how I do it). Currently there are 20 sites total where I run Build A Niche Store site software of which SouthernYardArt.com was the first. Since it started earning commissions first I’m fond of giving it props. (y0!) That one site made $42 yesterday. =)

Today has me setting up a mashup site. A friend of mine had software developed that he in turn sells which does basically the same thing as my mashup, but he charges for the ease adding a pretty template to boot. The site being set up will take advantage of YouTube adsense sells, ebay/cj, straight adsense and Amazon thrown in towards the end. If you want to check its progress head over to UbunTube.net. The name itself is a mashup of Ubuntu and YouTube.
