A little birdie whispered: Apparently, Skype has released a Beta version with video.Skype 2.0 Beta for Linux with video

There’s new beta out that brings video calls to Linux.

Make calls from your computer – free to other people on Skype, cheap to phones and mobiles across the world. And the sound quality is great, too – keep it running all day, and it’s like you’re in the same room as the person on the other end.

Features

Skype is packed with innovative and cool features – many are completely free – that help you keep in touch no matter where you are and what you’re doing.

Plus, if you have friends who haven’t discovered the joys of Skype you can call them on their phone or mobile at pretty cheap rates too.

  • Set up video call with anyone in your contact list.
  • Group chat with up to 100 people or conference call with up to nine others.
