Hey there I'm Robert MacEwan the author of Ideal Absolutes. If you're new to macewan.org, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed.

A change in leaf color is taking place just outside my home office window. The tree is a two story Japanese Maple full of stunning orange/red glow. Next to that is my frontporch roof in all its shingled glory. I so wish our home had a metal rool like my next door neighbor does. She, by the way, is one heck of a great person. Not because of her roof. Just in general - she’s a one of those people you admire and respect as soon as you meet her.

Metal Buildings really ought to factor in with the rest of your choices when looking at rebuilding or initial planning or renovation. Anyway, back to metal roofs. Looking around for companies that handle such work isn’t as fun as staring out at a Fall window scene close enough to grab if I open the window. Metal Buildings or just the roofs themselves are another of those “sense of peace” purchases that I plan on making at some point. They last forever, just like metal buildings. I live in hurricane territory. Metal is good. Wood is bad… in a big storm.
