Why I don’t I.T. anymore.
It may be that while trying to convey the seeming uncomplicated idea of using free and open source software you merely confuse the listener. Depending on the type person the listener is this too often leads to their inability to comprehend the benefits. Yes, of course this a failure on my part to adequately express its advantages over the single vendor lock-in.
This is why I don’t do I.T. in eastern North Carolina. I just can not get passed the fact that this is a Microsoft strong hold. The decision makers just do not have the bad ground knowledge to make good I.T. decisions.
Maybe I’m getting older and don’t desire the geek badge of honor that I sought in my 20’s. I certainly don’t care about impressing anyone in little Washington w17h ^^`/ |337 s|<1LLz ![]()
